Sanctuary Residencies is a faith-based community dedicated to the seasons of transitions. From quiet waiting and heavy pruning to active, vibrant growth—we walk right beside creatives, individuals, and families as they endure and overcome major life shifts. Our safe, transformative space offers the holistic support needed to thrive. Fellows break through spiritual, emotional, and mental barriers, revealing a clear, purposeful pathway forward.
Each residency provides a comprehensive ecosystem of support to foster connection, spiritual maturity, individual mentorship, professional advancement, and deep healing across spiritual, emotional, and mental health. By pairing private spaces with accessible programming and intentional community building, we nurture powerful comebacks, spark personal breakthroughs, and instill the resilience required to thrive during times of profound transformation.
Our Residency Programs
Sanctuary Light Residency
Light Residency is a fully funded, six-month residency for individuals and families transitioning out of public assistance (such as SNAP or public housing). We empower participants to achieve independence by aligning healing, preparation, and opportunity. Fellows receive dedicated living space, a monthly stipend, mentorship, holistic healing work, and community support to move forward confidently.
Sanctuary Writers and Artists Residency
Many renowned writers and artists discover their creative calling later in life, after establishing other careers—yet countless talented individuals never get that opportunity. Sanctuary Writers and Artists Residency finds those with manuscripts locked in closets and artwork quietly taped to bedroom walls. These creatives are ready to transition; they simply need a structural bridge to overcome financial and mental barriers. For five months, we empower artists-in-residence to advance their careers and fulfill their creative calling. Through dedicated private studios, living stipends, material support, and community events, we champion the production of clean, timeless literature and art.
Waiting-in-Sanctuary Residency
The waiting season can be a time of profound transformation, shifting our current beliefs into a revelatory understanding of our identity and calling. Often, waiting reveals prophetic insights about ourselves that we previously lacked. When the Lord calls us into this season, we may arrive with only a basic understanding of our purpose, but we leave with a renewed sense of self, clear vision, and deeper clarity.
To eliminate financial burdens and provide a secure environment for this journey, Waiting in Sanctuary offers a six-month residency, providing a safe space, a living allowance, and spiritual guidance for believers called to step away from daily routines, embrace solitude, build intimacy with God, and seek clarity. Ultimately, Waiting in Sanctuary equips believers to deeply connect with the Lord and emerge with sharp spiritual discernment.
